Dr. Gurinder Dayal
Naturopathic Doctor
I grew up loving sports and living a very active lifestyle. I played soccer, ball hockey, and practised martial arts, which ultimately led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. Before beginning my fourth year of university, I embarked on a four-month soul-searching trip to India. Travelling through different regions, meeting diverse people, and spending an extended period in an ashram, I developed a deep interest in natural healing therapies.
During this transformative journey, I became particularly intrigued by Ayurvedic Medicine. However, I sought a practice that was rooted in similar principles yet grounded in a Western medical framework. This search led me to discover Naturopathic Medicine. Within a year of making this decision, I enrolled at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, where I graduated in 2000. My experience in Toronto laid the foundation for my evolution into the Naturopathic Physician I am today.
Over the years, I have dedicated my practice to various areas of health, including mind-body medicine, structural medicine, detoxification and drainage (homo-toxicology), allergies, and nervous system dysregulation. I have continuously expanded my knowledge, integrating multiple healing modalities into my approach to provide comprehensive and effective care for a wide range of conditions.
Since my time at CCNM, I have maintained a strong interest in the spiritual traditions of different cultures, incorporating these perspectives into my work to support patients on their journey to health. In addition to my clinical practice, I have lectured extensively for various organizations across Canada and internationally. I also served as a clinic supervisor and guest lecturer at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine for several years.
Balancing a busy practice, personal life, and commitment to a healthy lifestyle, I feel I have achieved the closest I have ever been to an optimal work-life balance. My passion for holistic health and dedication to continuous learning drive me to provide the best possible care for my patients.
